The Nitecore MT20C is a new edition the MT range for 2015. It offers a maximum 460 lumens output from a Cree XP-G2 R5 LED, which emits a smaller, more focused and further reaching beam than the Cree XM-L2 LED. Powered by either two CR123A non-rechargeable lithium batteries or one 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery, the MT20C has an accumulated run-time of up to 1 hour, 45 minutes on turbo setting. In addition to the white LED, there is also a red LED that provides low level lighting to preserve night vision and also a flashing mode to attract attention. It also blinks once every three seconds when in standby mode to help you locate your torch in the dark. Featuring a tactical tail switch with momentary illumination, the MT10C has five brightness levels, three special modes, two red modes and a red low battery indicator. The tail switch controls on/off, while the brightness levels are selected using the dual side switch 'step up' and 'step down' buttons.
The step down button provides instant access to the red light mode and the step up button provides instant access to turbo. A combination of both buttons activates the red power indicator and controls the three special modes of strobe, location beacon and SOS. The MT20C features a memory function that remembers the last mode used (except SOS and location beacon), which is a useful feature for many professions.
Note: *After 3 minutes the MT10C will automatically lower the turbo brightness level to prevent over-heating and ensure the battery run-time
